The Science Daily reports that researchers from the University of California San Diego School of Medicine are contradicting conventional beliefs with a study demonstrating that moderate consumption of one glass of wine is not only good for the liver, but also lowers the prevalence of Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease.

The Wine Place Markham located at 136 Main St North, opened in the fall of 2002.

Joe Giuffre, vintner and owner, has been making wine here since that time. Joe is personally involved in every stage of the wine making process. His desire to make every batch of wine a great wine, demonstrates a passion for this business. This is evident in the long list of loyal patrons that have entrusted Joe with their wine over the years.

Peggy, Joe's sister in-law, is a welcome addition to the store. Her flare for wedding planning puts brides-to-be at ease, when ordering wines for a wedding reception or gift wines for wedding guests. Peggy is currently completing the wine sommelier program at George Brown College.

Together Joe and Peggy provide The Wine Place with a sophisticated sphere of wine making knowledge in an immaculate and enchanting environment.
